Twin's Preschool Graduation

How is that the boys have already graduated from their first year of preschool?! I am so incredibly proud of both of them and all that they have accomplished this year!

Jameson continued to be sweet and kind to everyone. He loved going to preschool each day and loved his teachers! He was always surprising me with the things he learned at preschool.

Carter really grew a ton this year! He generally has a lot of anxiety and fear about new things and leaving me. The first day of school he cried, and kicked, and screamed (literally all 3 at the same time), and I was so worried how he would do this school year. It only took a few days for Carter to warm up to preschool and begin to love it! He loved his teachers, especially Ms. Helen. He loved painting and playing with cars. I was amazed at how brave he was each day, even when he was scared to leave me.

Jameson 1st day vs last day of preschool. He grew so much! On the last day of preschool they came home with a little book about their favorite things at school. Here are Jameson's

Favorite Activity- Snack time
Favorite toy- Cars
Favorite Song- The Ants Go Marching
My friends- Carter, Jimmer, and Reagan
I am really good at- Playing cars, painting, and fixing stuff
This year I learned- My letters, and about zoo animals
When I grow up I want to- Be a fireman

Carter on the 1st day vs the last day of preschool. He had a big growth spurt this year!

My favorite activity- Painting
My favorite toy- Cars
My favorite song- Freeze dance
My friends- Rachel, Jameson, Jimmer
I am really good at- Basketball, playing cars, and helping my mommy
This year I learned- opposites and letters
When I grow up I want to- Be a fireman!

They boys weren't together when they answered their questionnaires, so its funny to see how many similar answers they have.

1st day vs. last day of preschool. They are both growing up so much!

They had a really fun graduation ceremony at the park. They wore graduation caps, sang lots of funny songs, and showed off all the things they learned this preschool year. It was so adorable and I couldn't stop smiling the whole program.

Although, Carter did NOT want to be up in front of the crowd and it took everything to get him to even sit up there. So he didn't really participate in the actions to the songs. He mostly just sat with a mad face the entire program. haha. Jameson loved it and sang along the best he could.

The boys were lucky enough to have lots of family come and support them.

Carter loved the end of the program when he got to play with Grandma and Grandpa and eat all the cookies.

Not pictured- Grandma and Grandpa J and Hutch. They were all cheering the boys on, but I just forgot to get pictures of them!

I am so proud of my boys and the wonderful young men they are becoming! We have another year of preschool then off to kindergarten!

Goga

Goga= Goat Yoga. The most fun we've had in a long time, it was seriously the best!

The goats were so friendly and put up with all the kids chasing them around touching them.

Hutch liked to pull the goats hair. He crawled around just like one of the goats.

Carter was a master at yoga and at letting the goats jump on his back.

Matt mastered the standing goat pose. Its a very tricky pose that only the best gogaers achieve.

Carter getting a bath from the goats.

Hutch became one with the goats.

The true goat man himself. Just look at the grin on his face, he is in goat heaven!

Selfie of me and Carter.

Jameson did not like it when the goat tried to give him a kiss. It was hilarious.

Peter with one of his kids.

Wendi was the true goat whisperer and at one point had 3 goats on her back. She also got a goat facial, which can help boost cells and reduce stress.

Grandma with one of her grandkids.

Abe with his goat buddies.

It was such a fun family activity, everyone had a blast!! Until next time goats.

Hutch 11 Months

11 months. How can we only be 1 month away from a year? Que all the tears. I know I say it every month, but times just keeps getting faster and faster with each child.

Hutch has been growing and changing like crazy. He isn't a baby anymore and likes to try and keep up with his brothers. He is pulling himself up on to everything, he will probably be our fastest walker. Jameson walked at 13 months and Carter walked at 15 months. My bet is Hutch will be just over a year when he starts taking his first steps.

He is still loved by all, especially his brothers. Jameson is very sweet with him and can always get him to laugh. Carter likes to push Hutch's boundaries. Both are very typical of the twins personalities. But often times Hutch just wants to be left alone and doesn't want to be mauled by his brothers, so we enforce the "Don't touch Hutch" rule for 10-15 minutes.

We've also had to start the "no bounce" rule when Hutch is on the trampoline with the boys. They always start with little bounces and then the bounces gradually get bigger and bigger until Hutch is being whip lashed around the trampoline. Poor Hutch. But being the typical 3rd child, he just sits there and puts up with it, hardly ever making a fuss that his brains are being jiggled around.

Carter gets really mad if he doesn't get to be the first one in Hutch's room each time he wakes up. If he can't be the first one in Hutch's room, then we must report back to Carter on what Hutch was doing when we went in there. Most of the time Hutch is just sitting in his crib, sometimes he is standing. Even though its almost the same thing every single time, Carter must know and always asks "What was Hutch doing??". Its cute, he really loves his brother even though he's the one that often makes him cry. ha ha.

Hutch is also teething (again). He is such a trooper when it comes to teething, he usually gets ornery right before bed and needs some extra love. Then he's good and will sleep through the night. He is such a better sleeper than the twins were. The twins were always waking up for one thing or another (and still do!), when Hutch goes to bed he rarely wakes up till morning.

All the teething paid off and his top 2 teeth popped through. The next 2 top teeth are going to be right behind, they are very swollen and will pop any day now. By his birthday he'll probably have 6 or more teeth!

We've had a fun busy month! We have really enjoyed the warm weather and try and be outside as much as possible. Hutch likes to crawl all over the grass and put everything in his mouth. His favorite spot is going to the flower bed and throwing dirt everywhere and eating it. He has a well balanced diet of milk and dirt, keeps him strong and healthy. haha.

One of the warm days we decided to go to lunch with Grandpa J at the park. The boys LOVE going to lunch with Grandpa.  They get all of Grandpa's attention and can always get him to push them on the swings and watch them go down the slide.

They brought their frisbees to the park and Jameson kept trying to get his frisbee stuck in the tree on purpose. He would laugh and laugh every time he got close to getting it stuck... until it actually got stuck! haha. Grandpa had to lift him up high into the tree to rescue the frisbee.

This month we were able to help with yard clean up at Great Grandpa J's house. All the kids were a ton of "help". They followed each other around in a gang of sorts "cleaning up". Both Grandma and Grandpa J were good sports at helping them help with the clean up.

Hutch getting a month older means we are a month closer to welcoming baby #4! So exciting and terrifying at the same time! I am not sure how I will handle 4 kids all on my own, let alone 4 wild and crazy boys! But we will manage and figure it out as we go!

I can't imagine a sweeter, happier baby. He is simply the best and such a light to our family! We love and adore Hutch!! Next up- HIS BIRTHDAY!!!

Carter & Jameson's 4th Birthday!!

Carter and Jameson are 4 years old!! Holy Moly!! I literally didn't think I'd ever see this day. These boys have been the biggest and hardest blessing of my life!!

I wrote in my journal several times right after the boys were born, it was often at 3am when I was up with a crying baby, this is an excerpt from my journal when the boys were just a few weeks old -

"People say they miss the newborn phase, I don't think I will miss this part of the newborn phase. It is exhausting." and another one "I am exhausted. I don't remember how much sleep I get anymore because I am too tired"

And 4 years later do I miss the twin newborn phase? A big fat NO!!! It was the most exhausting and trying time of my life! It's a good thing they were cute and snuggly or I would have for sure sent them back.

Anyway, back to their birthday!

We started the birthday celebration a day early by going up to City Creek and meeting Daddy for lunch.

We had dessert first and enjoyed cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. Then they played on the dinosaur playground area for another hour and a half until we had to go. I had to drag them out of there, they were having so much fun! It's always a blast when we get to go to lunch with Daddy!

On their actual birthday the plan was for me to get up before them and get everything ready to start the birthday celebration! But they were just so excited, they ended up waking up just after 6am. I still had things to get ready so I let them watch Cars in my bed. This was a big deal since the TV has been banned for 6+ months and we only turn it on for family movie nights (or when Dad wants to take a nap and Mom is gone, haha). They were in heaven. haha.

They were so excited that their door was decorated and kept asking me how I decorated it. There were also balloons all over the hallway with candy inside of them, they thought that was amazing and went around and popped all the balloons to get the candy out.

We had breakfast, which I made of pancakes spelling out "Happy Birthday" they thought that was cool, but preferred to eat the donuts instead. haha.

It was a Thursday so they got to go to preschool on their birthday! We brought donuts to their class, their class sang to them and they got birthday crowns. They thought that was super cool!

After preschool we took donuts to the firemen at the fire station, the boys wanted to wear their fire chief costumes to let the firemen know they were serious business. The firemen were super friendly and showed them around the both fire trucks and the ambulance. The fireman put all their gear on and let them get inside the firetruck and look around. They also had a big dog named Blaze at the station that was super friendly. The boys loved that!

We also took donuts to the policemen at the Police Station, but we didn't get to tour around. They did get Lehi Police stickers and thought that was cool.

We spent the rest of the day playing outside and enjoying the warm weather. The hammock swing has been a big hit with the boys. They just kept begging me over and over again to keep pushing them around in circles. It was a good 45 minutes of swinging, they loved it!

They requested chicken nuggets and french fries for dinner, so that's what we had.  And one of them may have been mad that they weren't chicken nuggets and french fries from McDonalds. (eye roll)

Matt gave the boys matching hats, which they love. The hats were too big so we had to exchange them, and one child may have been mad that it was too big at first. Which then led to a big discussion on how to be appreciative and thankful for what we have. Oiy, kids can be hard sometimes!

Their primary teacher brought over capes and masks for the boys, that was a huge hit! They liked running around being superheros.

And have worn their masks almost daily since. Cutest superheros I've ever seen!

The boys had a big Art Party with all their friends and family. We did party prep by decorating their art aprons. We really like eye balls in our house. haha.

The party was so much fun! They had so many friends and family come, they were for sure spoiled! The boys loved painting, eating the candy off the tables and opening presents. They loved each one of their presents, they got so many cool trucks and games and water toys.

One of their friends in the ward gave them a painting class for their birthday. We went a few days after the party and had such a fun time! The kids each have a canvas and the teacher gives instructions on what to paint. Both the boys did such a good job following the instructions and loved painting! It was such a fun gift!

The boys had such a fun birthday! We are so lucky to have them in our family! They are sweet, loving, smart, and just wonderful boys and we love them dearly!
