3 Months

3 Months! We are loving this phase, Will has been so smiley and cooing and starting giggling at us. He is also getting so chunky!! I'm loving all his fat rolls and double chins.

He is the most tolerant baby too. The twins love to hold him any chance they get, and Will just goes along for the ride.

He has one dimple on his right cheek. Its the most adorable little dimple and melts my heart every time I see him smile!

It's been fun to see the difference between Will and Hutch at the same age. Will has probably 5lbs on Hutch at 3 months. haha.

We've had such a fun busy month!

We enjoyed the pumpkin patch. Hutch's favorite thing was picking up the small pumpkins and throwing them.

The twins loved the train ride and went several times. It was also the first time Hutch rode the train, he loved it as well!

Will sat bundled up in the stroller the whole time, and loved it. He's the cutest baby bear.

We also went to another Fall Festival with my family. The twins had fun running around with Grandpa J, even though it was super cold!

Jameson loved getting his face painted!

We spent a day up in Salt Lake with cousins, we went to lunch at City Creek and met up with Scott and Matt and then went to the Clark Planetarium. Then the twins got to sleep over at cousins house, they had such a BLAST! They keep asking when they can have another sleepover.

HALLOWEEN!!

Halloween was so fun this year! The twins were SO excited, we had a busy few weeks with lots of Halloween activities!

We had a Johansen Family Halloween party, it was a lot of fun getting together with everyone and seeing all the fun costumes.

Carter was Batman, Jameson was Robin and Hutch was the Joker. Hutch played the best Joker ever and was so funny. When we went Trick or Treating at Matt's work, Hutch just ran around to each desk begging for candy.

Hutch got a new binky that he loves. Wendi bought this binky for Will and Hutch stole it. Makes me laugh every time I see it.

Halloween night was so fun for the boys. We met up with their friends in the neighborhood and they ran to each house as fast as they could to get all the candy. They came home with their buckets full of candy.

We had such a fun month and can't wait for the holidays to start! The twins are already so so excited for Christmas and keep telling me all the things they want for Christmas. It will be so fun this year!

Will 2 Month

2 Months! Will is now 11.5 pounds (45th percentile) and 22 inches (17th percentile). He is officially my fattest baby! At this age Hutch was a pound lighter and under the 10th percentile for weight.

Its so fun seeing him get chunky! His double chin and fat rolls are so adorable!

This month Will is like a different baby. He's gone from crying all the time, to a semi happy baby! We've finally gotten him on a consistent schedule, which makes him actually take naps during the day and sleep longer stretches at night.

We are all rejoicing over a happier Will. I think we were all going a little insane with his crying and fussiness.

This month Will started smiling! It so adorable! He seems to be very selective with is smiling though, and we haven't figured what makes him smile yet. Carter was just like that, we have maybe 5 smiling pictures of him as a baby. Jameson and Hutch smiled at anything and everything.

Will is still loved and adored by all his brothers! The twins are super helpful and love to help Will when he is crying or sad. Hutch likes to pet Will and then the nice petting turns into him slapping Will. We're still working on that with Hutch.

We've had a lot of fun this month! We went to a pumpkin patch/fall carnival. There were tons of little rides, slides and a hay ride. The boys all had a lot of fun!

Hutch went on all the big kid rides and loved them!

Attempted a bath with all 4 boys. Lots of squealing, some crying, and one peeing all over the bathroom floor. Not sure I'll attempt that again anytime soon.

This month we were able to bless Will.

It was such a special day for our family. Matt did a wonderful job on the blessing.

We feel so lucky to have Will apart of our family. He is the perfect caboose to this crazy boy family we have.

Grandma & Grandpa Johansen with Will.

Grandma & Grandpa Kirk with Will.

Great Grandma & Grandpa Smith with Will.

Aunt Brittney with Will.

Will is loved by so many people! We have such great family to come and support us on Will's blessing day.

Other happenings this month-

The boys went to a super hero birthday party and had a BLAST!

They ran around for several days after the party with their capes and masks on pretending to save the day. It was super cute!

Hutch is becoming quiet the independent little stinker! He tries to stand up in his high chair any chance he gets.

He likes to run around with his diaper off as often as he can. That cute little bum kills me!

He is still the twins favorite toy. They love to hug him, wrestle him, squeeze him, and torture him.

We took the boys up AF canyon for a picnic dinner and FHE. It was great weather and we all enjoyed walking around and seeing the fall leaves.

Will has changed so much this month! I am looking forward to seeing how much he will grow and change next month!

Will 1 Month

Will is 1 month!! We haven't been back to the Dr since his 2 week check up. But he's weighing around 9 pounds. He is definitely getting chunky!

He is cute and adorable and has a very round head (several people have complimented his very symmetrical head.)

He likes to show off his belly to all the ladies. And some how it works and they all come running to smooch him.

This month has been a lot of trying to figure Will out. Matt and I both got cocky and thought we knew how to deal with a newborn. We definitely had that wrong! Will has thrown us through a loop trying to figure him out.
He has been a fussy baby. Hutch was an extremely easy baby, so I think we thought we'd get that again. Instead we got a fussy baby. He fusses when he's hungry, he fusses when he's full, he fusses when he's not being held, he fusses when he's being held. The Dr says its colic, which means he's just a fussy baby.

BUT, I think we are at a turning point with him. The last few days have been a bit easier (of course, as soon as I say that things are going to get worse. Knock on wood!).  We've been giving him a few things to help with gas and that seems to help.

Out of desperation we moved him into his own room. All 3 of us weren't sleeping more than a 2 hour stretch at night and it was very quickly killing all of us. Once we moved him to his room he seemed to do a lot better. It may be because I sleep through his cries half the time. (oops!!)

But he has been going a lot longer at night and only waking up once or twice to eat, compared to crying for hours on end like before. So we are taking that as a win. And I am really hoping that next months update doesn't include his sleep getting worse.

Right now Will loves to eat, loves to cry and fuss and loves to torment Matt and I at all hours of the night. He hates sleeping, hates when he's not being held and hates when he's being held.

Will had his first bath, and you guessed it, he hated it. haha. He'll start loving it eventually.

Both the boys love holding Will, Jameson especially loves it! He asks all day long if he can hold Will. Its really cute.

Will, surprisingly, loves the car. He does so well in the car and usually sleeps the entire ride. But there's always another kid crying to make up for Will's peacefulness.

He doesn't mind tummy time, but he doesn't get to do tummy time too often. When Hutch is awake Will's tummy time signals Hutch to come sit on him. So we're working on that.

Will also got to meet his Uncle Eric! It was fun to have him visit. Not sure Eric knows how to hold a baby yet.

Other updates this month with the other three-

The twins started their last year of preschool. They were so excited to go!

And then they both cried and sobbed and held on to my legs and wouldn't let me leave.

It was a bit traumatic for all of us. BUT when I picked them up they said they had a lot of fun! And then the 2nd day of school, they cried a sobbed a little less. haha.

Hutch has been pulling out all the tricks for attention since Will was born. He loves to be silly and goofy and do anything to get us to laugh.

He had his 15 month check up and he is still short and fat. He is in the 30th percentile for weight and the 2nd percentile for height. The Dr thinks he'll hit a growth spurt soon and gain some inches.

Hutch has been learning so much lately. He is constantly grunting and pointing at things trying to communicate with us. He is really good at understanding what we are saying, we'll tell him to go get the ball or throw the garbage in the trash and he'll do it. It's fun to see how much he is learning!

We've had a good first month adjusting to all 4 kids. It's been a bit crazy, but we are surviving!
