5 Months

For the first time I shed a tear when I realized my boys were going to be another month older. Time is slipping away! But we are enjoying every moment!

We had quite a few firsts this month. At their 4 month check up the doctor approved them to start eating solids aka mush. They don't really know what to think about food, we are still working on it.

As always Jameson's face says it all.

So far they have had peaches, applesauce, rice cereal and carrots. Carter is a better eater than Jameson, Carter especially loves applesauce.

At their check up they both weighed the same- 14lbs, but Carter is now an inch taller. They are already so different.

Carter is a thumb sucker. It is adorable now, but not when he's 5 years old and still sucking his thumb.

He has really pretty blue eyes and is super sweet. He will just look at you with is big eyes and melt your heart.

You have to work harder to get him to smile, but he is so adorable when he does smile!

Another first is Carter is now rolling. His main form of transportation is rolling. He rolls into the corner of the room and then gets mad that he is stuck.

Jameson likes to smile and laugh and be really goofy.

Jameson's hair is growing. Its getting longer and it gets really fuzzy after baths.

He is also very giggly.

I usually put the boys in their bumbos while I do the dishes or clean the kitchen. I like to face them towards each other so they will have twin time and get to know each other.

Then when I catch them talking to each other one of them will usually look over at me and give me the look as if to tell me to "butt out".

Here is a slice of a day this week, which is also a very typical day

10am- Boys are in the bumbos on the table watching me do the dishes. I see Jameson do his poop face, then he goes back to sitting and staring at me.
10:10- Boys are fussy and ready for a nap. Having forgotten about the poop, I put both boys down in their cribs.
10:11- I go back into the living room and sit down on the couch. Then I smell poop. I sniff around and realize its on my arm. Culprit- Jameson.
10:12- I change Jameson's poopy diaper. It got all over him and the crib sheets.
10:13- I change the crib sheets.
10:15- Finally put Jameson back down and go back to the kitchen. Then I see the bumbo. It was also affected by the poop attack.
10:20- I clean the bumbo. The poop some how managed to get on the straps and on the inside of the clip.
10:30- I decide to hose the bumbo off in the tub.
10:35- The poop is still inside the clip and I spend the next 10 minutes cleaning it out with q-tips.

Almost the exact same thing happened the next day, it was the same baby but the other bumbo.

But who cares about the poop when you see these adorable faces?!

We went to my Grandpa Johansen's art exhibit at BYU with my family. The boys are very cultured now and have an appreciation for fine art.

My dad with the boys at the art exhibit. They are sportin' their manly men shirts.

The boys have also started enjoying all 3 hours of church. And when I say "enjoying" I mean they are fussy most of the 3rd hour. Last week Carter stunk up all of Sunday school with his LOUD stinky farts. Matt and I thought it was more hilarious than it should have been and laughed for a good 10 minutes about it.

We went to the park and tried out the swing made just for the boys. It's definitely a twin thing.

This month has been really great! We are enjoying all the new tricks the boys can do and can't wait to see what next month brings!

Instead of a goofy Jameson picture to end the blog post, I will end with a goofy Carter picture. This picture just makes me laugh.
