Hutch 2 Months

Sweet little Hutch is 2 months old! He is 10.5lbs and 22.5 inches. He is in the 15% for height and weight. He is small, but still growing and following the growth chart. He is just going to be small like Jameson. He had his first set of vaccines, he did great. He cried but then fell asleep and just wanted to be snuggled the rest of the day.

This month Hutch started smiling!! It is the sweetest thing ever! He has been sharing his smiles a lot more than either of the twins did at this age. Its super cute when I can get him to smile big for me!

He is not camera shy, I can get some really good smiles out of him when I whip out my phone. He is going to be a charmer for sure!

Hutch has started sleeping 6-9 hours every night! This is a game changer! He usually goes down 8:30/9:30 and will wake up around 5 or 6. The twins never gave me this kind of sleep till they were like a year old. Even more reason why Hutch is the favorite ;)

His brothers still LOVE him. And he still tolerates them.

He loves his Daddy.

He is starting to like walks more. And the twins have started fighting over who gets to sit next to him on walks. We are still trying to figure out the best way to walk with all 3 boys.

He tolerates the bumbo. He still has a little bit of a wobbly head which makes the bumbo a little hard for him.

All the boys love to help make dinner. Hutch will usually sit in the bumbo and the twins will climb up and help me cut and mix and get dinner ready.

Hutch went on his first hike this month. He loved it, meaning he slept the whole time. This was also the first hike we took the twins on too!

The boys loved it, they did so great hiking and liked playing in the water. Jameson even went under the waterfall with Grandma J.

We've had a few park play dates this month and have enjoyed the warm weather.

The park is always more fun with cousins!

The boys started soccer this month. Hutch just comes along for the ride. Jameson has a lot of fun at soccer, Carter hates it! (see picture above) Hopefully Carter will warm up to it before the class is over with.

Daddy wanted to show off Hutch to his coworkers, so we went up to SLC for lunch. Everyone at Matt's work loved little Hutch and the twins. The boys got cookies and got to ride in an office chair and then Matt told them that they could parachute down to the ground from his floor (the 11th floor). Carter was super disappointed when we took the elevator down.

Then the boys convinced me to take them on the Trax by myself. We were successful and the boys didn't get kidnapped by any homeless people. They LOVE riding on Trax! We had a really fun afternoon in SLC.

Hutch eats a lot, which means I spend a lot of time feeding him. Which also means the boys find ways to entertain themselves with out me. 90% of the time they are getting into trouble. This was when they decided to play with chalk on the car.

I made them wash my car and luckily the chalk came off and didn't scratch the car.

We had a fun backyard movie night with cousins this month. The boys LOVE outdoor movie nights. They run around and scream with excitment. We watched the Lego Batman movie and by 30 minutes into the movie all 3 of our boys were asleep.

Matt and I went on a date night up in SLC. I was upstairs getting ready to go and the boys got tired and took a nap on each other.

I took Hutch with me while the boys stayed home with Aunt Brittney. Hutch and I rode the Front Runner up to SLC to meet Matt after work. Hutch slept the whole train ride.

We went out to eat and then strolled around Temple Square. Temple Square is incredible right now! I couldn't get over how beautiful the grounds were. There were flower beds everywhere with all kinds of beautiful flowers. The grounds were so peaceful and the evening was nice and calm. It was a perfect date night!

We ended out the month by blessing Hutch! It was such a special day. He was sweet and calm the whole day and Matt gave a very special blessing.

Hutch wore the same blessing outfit that my brothers were blessed in. I had to pin the pants because they were so big on him. He was just a little bit smaller than all the other babies that wore it!

We had so much support from friends and family.

We are so lucky to have so many great people in our lives!

It was a really great day!

Hutch is going to go camping for the first time next week, it should be a lot of fun!

Hutch 1 Month

Baby Hutch is one month old!

This month has been one of the fastest months of my life. The older I get the faster time seems to fly by. And its also probably because Matt was home the full month, so we knew it would just fly by.
This has also been one of the most full months, we were able to do so much and have so many fun adventures.

Here is a recap of Hutch's first month.

Hutchings Brandon Kirk
Born May 31st at 2:47pm
6 lbs 10 oz and 18 inches long.

After 7 hours of labor and 6 minutes of pushing Hutch was born.  He immediately cried as soon as he was born and then snuggled right up on my chest. It is still his favorite spot to be.

Hutch loves being held, eating, sleeping during the day, being in the wrap, and being held, especially snuggling up on the chest.  He hates being in the car, diaper changes, his car seat, and when he's not
being held.

The boys meeting Hutch for the first time. Jameson had the biggest smile on his face, he was so amazed by him. Carter was excited, but only wanted to see him for a few seconds before playing with his toys.

Grandma & Grandpa Kirk meeting Hutch for the first time.

Grandma & Grandpa Johansen meeting Hutch for the first time.

Aunt Brittney meeting Hutch.

Matt was in amazement at Hutch. It was obvious how much Matt loved him from the minute he met Hutch.

My Grandma Smith holding Hutch. He was so cozy laying on her chest.

Getting ready to go home from the hospital. Hutch did not like the car seat, and still hates the car seat as much as he did on day 1.

We had our first walk with all 3 boys... it didn't last long. We are still trying to figure out the best way to go on walks with all 3 boys.

Hutch after his first bath. He seemed to tolerate it, he didn't hate it, but didn't love it.

Hutch ready for his first Sunday. He did so well at church, and got me out of 2nd hour, so he was definitely my favorite child that Sunday.

Father's Day 2017. Matt with all 3 of his boys, and in matching ties.

Hutch prefers to lay on the ground instead of sitting in the swing. But him being on the ground is like magnet to his older brother's torture. They love to poke him and pull on his legs, they especially love to talk to him. They get right up in his face and yell  "HI BABY".  Hutch just lays there and tolerates it.

Those big brothers love baby brother! They are the best helpers and are always fighting (literally) over who gets to grab the binky, or the diaper to help out.

Handsome, handsome little boys!

Love their sweet smiles!

Right after this picture was taken the boys bonked heads and cried. It was the perfect end to our almost perfect photo shoot.

Hutch's first pair of sunglasses, thanks to Carter.

Uncle Adam meeting Hutch. Adam & Alissa came into town to meet baby Hutch. And we were so busy having so much fun that I didn't get very many pictures of them with Hutch.

Alissa and I snuck away for an afternoon and got some much need pedicures. Hutch joined us and snoozed the entire time. We had a ton of fun getting pampered and chatting.

For Christmas Aunt Brittney gave the boys a water park adventure day. They were finally able to go this month with the rest of the Kirk family. They had a blast and loved telling Hutch and I all about the slides they went on.

We went to the Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days, just to get the yummy strawberries and cream. It was as delicious as it was last year!

We celebrated Father's Day with the Johansen family up Provo Canyon. It was a nice cool evening up the canyon and Hutch loved snuggling on Grandpa J's chest.

We went on a dinosaur train ride in Heber. The boys were really unsure of the big dinosaur, but they loved the train ride! They even got a toy dinosaur after the train ride!

Baby Hutch slept through the whole train ride.

We've had such a great first month with Hutch and he has been the sweetest addition to our family. We all love him and can't get enough of him!

Here's to next month hoping we are all a little bit more rested!
